PML-N Lawyers Forum asks SC to take suo moto notice

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lawyers Forum in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here Monday through a resolution condemned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s announcement of civil disobedience and demanded the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the unconstitutional demands of the PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

The PML-N Lawyers Forum called a meeting at the Peshawar Bar that was attended by its provincial president Alamzeb Khan, senior vice president Atif Khan, vice presidents Jamroz Khan and Sher Bahadur Khan, Information Secretary Abdul Aziz and others.

The PML-N Lawyers Forum through a resolution condemned the announcement of the civil disobedience movement and asked the SC to take suo motu notice of the unconstitutional demands of PTI and PAT and provoking workers to kill the prime minister and chief minister of Punjab as they are liable to be booked under criminal charges.

PML-N KP Lawyers Forum president Alamzeb Khan told the PML-N leadership that the party’s lawyers and workers were waiting for its call as they were ready to take to the streets against the PTI and PAT to end their nefarious designs against the democratic system. He said the PTI chief was accomplishing foreign agenda to destabilise the democratic system and spread anarchy in the country.
